The University of Victoria, Institute for Integrated Energy Systems (PRIMED) AXYS Watchman 500

Wave, wind, current and sea surface temperature measurements collected in situ by instrumented wave buoys located off the west coast of Vancouver Island. This dataset includes the following type of variables: wave parameters (such as significant wave height), wave spectra and Fourier coefficients, water elevation time-series, wind speed and direction, sea water temperature, surface and sub surface currents. The Pacific Regional Institute for Marine Energy Discovery (PRIMED) is a industrial research laboratory operating out of the Institute for Integrated Energy Systems at the University of Victoria. Through collaboration with industry and coastal communities, PRIMED supports responsible marine renewable energy development in British Columbia.
